A self-directed, multi-year study of an urban stormwater retention pond — the centerpiece of this site.
Designed a fixed-schedule catch census and kept it consistently for three-plus summers; assembled and cleaned the data in Python; joined it to NOAA weather records; analyzed how conditions affect the fishery; and built a transparent, clearly-labeled model to estimate the one variable that couldn't be measured directly.
